379. Windmill
A Dutch windmill beside the Inba marsh.
The outlook as well as the huge shaft and gears to drive its pump inside seem to be all based on the technologies of sailing ships.
The struts to change the windmill direction look markedly deteriorated.

378. Good fortune?
The photos are kawa-semi (kingfisher?) I happened to encounter early this auspicious new year. Shots at Inage Seaside Park.
Perching on a pine branch, he (or she?) watches hard at the water surface below.
Only about 5 m away from the walking path, although those jogging and cycling incessantly pass through, he does not look to care at all. Even if I pointed my camera, he keeps an air of nonchalance. He might have hatched at this place and gotten used to people.
The left is a shot at another branch after the above shots. The look might suggest he is still chick.

377. The year 2020 / The sun activities??
The year 2020 started.
This is a screeen shot of today's NICT website.
Last year, no sunspot days have continued. What about this year? It is about the time we can expect the gradual increase.
Well, this has nothing to do with those who are not in HF radios.

376. JARL winter isuue
JARL winter issue. No lower half of the front page.
The culprit turned out to be XYL. As the illustration is cute, she cut it out.
Strangely enough, the issue mentions nothing about the illustrator's name, etc. However, it reminds me of the scenery around the harbour of Stockholm I had repaetedly seen since the early 1970s. I clearly remember a gigantic logperiodic antenna atop one of these buildings. I unilaterally thought a shipping company was in it.
As the commercial HF communication was all replaced with those via satellites, the antenna will not be there any more, though I have not been there these years.

375. Here too, uribou
Evening walk with Jiro was through the hill behind a nearby primary school. Here too, a notice board of ino-sisi newly appeared.
The right photo is a shot seeing the railway station side at the back of the same location, no more than 1.5 km apart from the station. The ino-sisi has returned even to this place.

374.@Yuri-no-ki
Yurinoki (tulip tree) at a nearby park.
Already the leaves are all gone and upright cigar-like seeds are conspicuous.
The right photo is the seed which prematuarely fell down by the last typhoon and has been kept here. It is a bunch of wing strip with seed at its bottom. When it gets colder, they open up and fly away.

373. A path uribou too cross
There newly appeared a notice board at a usual path with Jiro.
It says;
"be prepared to come across Inosisi (wild boar), and do not feed their uribou (cubs)"
This is the west edge of Jiro's walking territory, not more than 1 km away from our home.
Well, about 50 years ago, man came here and started to cut down trees at man's discretion, and has made a new town. Thus it was originally the land of inosisi and tanuki (racoon dog).
Inosisi's view point must be;
"we simply returned to our own place, what's the matter?"
One of these days, we might encounter the inosisi.

372. Inage-no-hama (beach)
Fine weather this morning too brouhgt us to Inage beach.
Though the beach used to have no amenity at all, a nice shop serving coffee has opened and makes us want to come here.
Fuji-san is seen very well this morning.
Much ealier arrival probably gave clearer view than this.

At long last, bright morning returned.
Ichou at a nearby square turned entirely yellow.

Tuwabuki remained wet for a week.
The flowers look almost ending.

A series of depressions also seem to come to an end.
